Pool Etiquette
- Proper decorum is required. Foul and/or abusive language and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate expulsion from the pool.
- Loud music is prohibited.
- All dangerous games are prohibited. At any time, the lifeguard may deem an activity too dangerous and may require that activity to cease immediately.
- Homeowners and their guests must use the main pool entrance gate to enter and exit.
- No Members or guests shall reprimand or attempt to discipline any pool employee, including lifeguards. Comments and complaints should be brought to the attention of the Pool Manager or the Board of Directors.
- Adult only swim Monday through Friday from 11 am to 2:30 pm.
- Pool parties are not allowed.
Pool Attire & Accessories
- Only proper swimming apparel will be allowed in the pool.
- NO SHORTS, CUT-OFFS, THONGS, STRING BIKINIS, OR UNDERWEAR will be permitted.
- Children who are not potty-trained are
REQUIRED to wear swim diapers.
- No hairpins, clips, or other metal/plastic objects are allowed in the pool.
- Suntan oil must be washed off before entering the pool.
- Waterproof lotions are permitted and recommended.
Pool Safety
- No running is allowed in the pool area.
- Diving is not permitted in the shallow area of the pool.
- No solo swimming is allowed, when a lifeguard is not on duty.
- No pets, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, or other vehicles are allowed in or around the pool area.
- All rafts, floatation devices, and ball-playing will be allowed at the discretion of the lifeguard. Tennis balls are
NOT
allowed in or around the pool.
- People with communicable diseases, open sores, or infectious eyes will be not allowed to use the pool.
- A telephone (landline) is provided for emergencies during pool operation hours. The pool number is (470)207-7911.
Pool Supervision
- All Members are to familiarize themselves, their children, and their guests with the Pool Rules and Regulations.
- Members are responsible for the behavior of their children and guests at all times.
- Children sixteen 16 years of age or older who demonstrate an ability to swim and tread water to the satisfaction of the lifeguard are permitted in the pool area without adult supervision when a lifeguard is on duty.
- Children between five and fifteen 15 years of age
MUST have adult supervision.
- Babysitters 16 & 17 years of age are accepted as adult supervision provided written parental permission is on file with the Association.
- All children five years of age or younger
MUST
be supervised by an adult at all times while at the pool.
Slide Rules
- The slide will operate only when a lifeguard is on duty.
- A Pool Committee Member with proper training and prior approval may operate the slide for community functions.
- NO ONE is permitted on the slide when the water is off.
- Rafts and floats are not permitted on the slide.
- ONE PERSON at a time is allowed on the slide. No trains are permitted.
- The slide must be ridden feet first.
- No one is to stand, walk, or crawl on the slide at any time.
- Standing in the landing area is not permitted.
Food, Drinks & Substances
- Responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted as long as the container is not glass.
- Smoking is
NOT permitted in the pool area. This includes vaping and chewing tobacco.
- Chewing gum is NOT allowed in the pool area.
- Glass containers and other breakable objects are prohibited in the pool area.
- FOOD CONSUMPTION IS PERMITTED IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. The area is on the west side of the wading pool. Eating is prohibited in all other areas of the pool deck.
- Trash receptacles are provided. Please dispose of all trash properly. Help keep the pool area safe and clean.
Guest Privileges
- Only one Brentwood Homeowner, the person whose name appears on the property title and/or his/her domestic partner, per household, is allowed up to four guests per address.
- Only Homeowners or Lessee of Record can sign in guests; non-residents of Brentwood are not permitted to sign in guests.
- Guests
MUST be accompanied by the Homeowner at all times.
- Guests
MUST show a valid photo ID.
- For groups of five to nine guests, 24-hour advance approval by the Board of Directors is required. The Homeowner may be required to hire a lifeguard. Contact the Pool Management Committee for directions.
- The Board of Directors may impose guest restrictions at any time.
- Children 16 and 17 years of age, unaccompanied by a parent, are limited to two guests per home address.
- Brentwood residents cannot be guests.
Lifeguards
- Lifeguards on duty are responsible for the enforcement of the Brentwood Community Association's pool and pool area rules and regulations.
- They have the authority to expel anyone at any time for misbehavior, use of abusive/foul language, apparent intoxication, and any other violation of the rules.
- The length of expulsion from the pool will be determined by the lifeguard, Pool Committee, and the Board of Directors.
- A 10-minute lifeguard break will be held every hour on the hour. This time is reserved for homeowner swimming only. A homeowner is a person whose name appears on the property title.
- Lifeguards are not authorized babysitters and may not assume responsibility for small children.
PARENTS ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES.
- The lifeguard chair is for the exclusive use of the lifeguard on duty. Use by all others is prohibited.
- Lifeguards should empty the trash cans at closing. Dispose of all trash when finished.
All persons using the pool will do so at their own risk. BCA assumes no responsibility for accidents or injury in connection with such use or for the loss or damage to personal property.
